The future is bright for Algerian students, and we’re honoured to walk alongside them every step of the way.
As demand continues to grow among Algerian students for high-quality overseas education, this event was a valuable opportunity to connect directly with thousands of students and families.
From vibrant discussions in Algiers to national TV coverage in Tlemcen, our journey through Algeria reaffirmed our commitment to supporting students in achieving their global education dreams.
A Tour Across Algeria
The Khotwa Education Expo took us across four major cities—Algiers, Oran, Tlemcen, and Tizi Ouzou—each one buzzing with students eager to learn more about international study options.
The 2025 edition of Khotwa saw Global Study UK and Kaplan International Pathways embarking on an exciting tour across four major Algerian cities: Algiers, Oran, Tlemcen, and Tizi Ouzou. Each stop was met with enthusiastic crowds of students and parents, all eager to explore pathways to higher education abroad.
"It was truly inspiring to meet and support so many Algerian students across the country. From Algiers to Tlemcen, their enthusiasm and curiosity were incredible. Being part of their journey as they explore international education opportunities is what makes our work so rewarding. We’re proud to help them take the next step toward their future."
Mehdi Toumi, Deputy Head of Student Recruitment & Algeria Country Manager
Our presence at these events was designed to meet the increasing demand from Algerian students seeking international study options. With Kaplan’s support and extensive university partnerships around the world, we were able to offer a diverse range of opportunities in the UK, US, Australia, and beyond. The students we met represented a vibrant and determined new generation — curious, ambitious, and ready to take their education global.
The event in Tlemcen was a particularly special highlight. Opened by the city’s mayor and featured on national television, the expo underscored the growing governmental and public interest in international education. The exposure helped boost our reach and added a layer of recognition to the important work being done by our team and partners to guide Algerian students toward their academic goals.

Promoting Global Opportunities with Kaplan

Students had the opportunity to speak directly with Yasmine Menia, Market Manager from Kaplan, who brought deep knowledge and enthusiasm to every interaction. Yasmine’s presence helped students and their families gain clarity on the advantages of pathway programmes, especially for those looking to strengthen their academic or language skills before beginning undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
Together, Global Study UK and Kaplan provided tailored guidance to thousands of students, helping them navigate their options and understand the application process, visa requirements, and available scholarships. It was rewarding to see so many students walk away feeling more informed and confident about their future.
Our Local Team, Our Strength

No event of this scale would have been possible without the dedication and professionalism of our exceptional Algeria team. A special thank you goes out to Mehdi Toumi, our Algeria Country Manager, who has worked tirelessly to develop and grow our presence in the country. His leadership and insight were instrumental in coordinating our participation and ensuring the smooth running of each city’s event.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to our experienced counselling team based in our Algiers office: Manel Toumi, Anais Saidani, and Karim Kaouther. Their on-the-ground expertise, cultural understanding, and ability to connect with students in a meaningful way made a lasting impact at every stop along the tour. Whether answering detailed questions about course options or reassuring anxious parents about the logistics of studying abroad, our team embodied the core values of Global Study UK — integrity, care, and dedication to student success.
Their efforts not only strengthened our reputation in Algeria but also reinforced the trust that students and families place in us to guide them on their educational journey.
